Well Child Visits and Vaccines
These are routine well office visits and some of the most common medical services offered to all children in our practice:
- 1-2 weeks: Metabolic screening
- 1 month
- 2 months: DTaP Prevnar, Polio, Hepatitis B Haemophilus Influenza B, Rotavirus
- 4 months: DTaP Prevnar, Polio, Hepatitis B Haemophilus Influenza B, Rotavirus
- 6 months: DTaP, Prevnar, Polio, Haemophilus Influenza B, Rotavirus, Hepatitis B, Vision Screen by Digital Vision Test
- 9 months
- 1 year: Varicella (Chickenpox), Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Hepatitis A vaccine, Hemoglobin and Lead Screen, Vision Screen by Digital Vision Test
- 15 months: DTaP, Prevnar and Haemophilus Influenza B, Vision Screen by Digital Vision Test
- 18 months: Blood Test for Hemoglobin and Lead Screening , Vision Screen by Digital Vision Test
- 2 Years: Hepatitis A vaccine ,
- 2 and half years ( 30 months)
- 3 Years
- 4-5 Years: Varicella (Chickenpox), DTaP, Measles/Mumps/Rubella (MMR), Polio, Booster Vaccines are given in addition to Hearing Screening Vision Screening
- After age 5 years, Well Visits are annually or whenever needed for sports, school or camps physical.
- After age 9-11 years other suggested vaccines are HPV (Gardasil) and Meningitis
- Meningitis B vaccine after age 16 with 2 doses needed, given at 1 month apart.
- Tetanus/Diphtheria/Pertussis ( TdaP ) vaccine booster at age 10-11 years.
Children will also receive periodic screening for anemia, cholesterol, diabetes based on the child’s need and family history and when deemed necessary.
Combo Vaccine Preparations:
Most of the vaccines listed above are combined, consequently the number of shots your baby will receive are less then the number of vaccines listed above. These are some of the most common vaccine combinations we use:
Pentacel: This is a combination of Tetanus, Diphteria, Pertussis, Polio, Haemophilus Influenza B
Pediarix: This is a combination of Tetanus, Diphteria, Pertussis, Polio, Hepatitis B Vaccine
DTaP: This is a combination of Tetanus, Diphteria, Pertussis
MMR: This is a combination of Measles, Mumps, Rubella
Kinrix: This is a combination of DTaP and Polio usually given between the ages of 4 to 6 years.
ProQuad: This a combination of MMR and Varicella usually given between the ages of 4 to 6 years.

Influenza vaccine (flu shot) recommended yearly for all eligible patients older than 6 months old.
