Luz Guillen is a board-certified Family Nurse Practitioner born and raised in South America. She has a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from the University of Maryland, Baltimore. She obtained a Master’s in Family Nurse Practitioner and a Doctor of Nursing degree at the University of California, Irvine.
Luz started her healthcare career as a receptionist at White Oak Pediatrics Silver Spring in 2009. After graduating from nursing school in 2013, she became a labor and delivery nurse at Holy Cross Hospital in Silver Spring. In 2017, she moved to California, where she continued to care for women and children for over 8 years. Caring for newborns ignited her desire to become a Family Nurse Practitioner to care for children outside the hospital, where she could be their partner to help them grow healthy, strong, and happy. She is thrilled to be part of the White Oak Pediatrics team once again, and feels honored to care for each and every patient.
Outside work, Luz enjoys cooking, skiing, fly fishing, mountain biking, and climbing.
